While the media has been distracted with antics of Larry, Moe and Curly at the UN (Chavez, Mugabe, and Ahmadinejad…I will comment on their antics later), the House Panel, that has been resisting the President’s proposals on detainee interrogations, have come to a compromise, and will now support legislation formalizing the rules for interrogating and prosecuting terror suspects. This simply means that the bill will now make it out of committee and face a floor vote (as our friend on Schoolhouse Rocks says…”It’s a long, long wait, while I’m sitting in committee), hopefully before the fall Congressional Recess.
